Saturday see the second Askern Town Victorian Gala organised by The Friends of Askern Lake where wonderful work is being done to improve the area and make it family friendly and a credit to the community. I have been invited to photograph the gala by Mr Derek Collins who is the chair of the friends committee. Being opened at 10am by Queen Victoria with many events being held including the raft race on the lake which is not to be missed. Look out for the forthcoming gallery. john
Askern is located on the A19 road to Selby just outside of Doncaster South Yorkshire
